Description: Students in the Online MBA program who choose Managing Internationally as one of their electives will closely explore organization structures, communication practices, and cultural contexts that affect international managers. Although globalization and interconnectedness are quickly defining the future of business, Managing Internationally will expose students to how the core values, attitudes, and ethics of different cultures affect the way organizations meet their business goals.

People management is a hands-on process dependent on strong communication skills. In a global workplace, culture matters. The Managing Internationally course will develop global leadership and strategic thinking through case studies, practical examples, expert-led lectures, carefully curated readings, group discussions, and formal assessments. By focusing on successful approaches for addressing cultural, legal, and ethical issues, assessing international strategy including HRM, and practicing appropriate motivational and leadership strategies, students will be prepared to effectively hire, train, and lead international staff without ambiguity.
