Biography
Dr. Brian Staihr was formerly senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City; in that position he was heavily involved in the monetary policy decisions discussed at length in this course. He has also served as regulatory economist for several Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications industry; in those positions he testified before the U.S. Congress on economic and competitive issues, as well as before the U.S. Justice Department and the Federal Communications Commission. He has been teaching economics and finance classes to both undergraduates and graduate students for over 20 years.
