Earn your MBA and M.S. in Business Analytics in one integrated program
The online MBA/M.S. in Business Analytics dual degree brings together two complementary disciplines into a single, integrated experience. Students build a business foundation of finance, operations, marketing, and management from KU’s No. 8 online MBA program curriculum, and gain dynamic technical capabilities in data analysis, machine learning, and AI from the online MSBA.1
This combined approach prepares graduates to confidently move beyond analysis and into decision-making roles, where both technical expertise and business perspective are essential.
The program is designed to be both time- and cost-efficient, allowing students to earn two graduate degrees in an accelerated format instead of pursuing each separately.

Become a leader who takes action with data
MBA/MSBA graduates develop the ability to work across technical and business teams: understanding analytical models, asking the right questions, and translating outputs into strategic action. This combination is increasingly critical as machine learning and AI become embedded in everyday business strategy and operations.
By combining technical fluency with business leadership, students are prepared to contribute in roles that require both analytical depth and strategic perspective.
The dual degree supports career paths such as:
- Director of business intelligence
- Product manager
- Business systems analyst
- Chief marketing officer
- Strategy or management consultant
- Senior data analyst
Vice president of operations or supply chain leader
An integrated curriculum across business and analytics
The dual degree curriculum combines coursework from both the MBA and M.S. in Business Analytics programs, allowing students to develop complementary skill sets in a cohesive structure.
Total credits:
MBA curriculum: 30 credits
MBA electives: 2 credits
MSBA core curriculum: 21 credits
MSBA electives: 9 credits
(MSBA electives are all MBA courses, thus reducing the number of credits necessary to complete the MBA alone.)
